For as long as I can remember, my life has been a cycle of pain, betrayal, and abuse. The man I trusted has turned our home into a prison, a place filled with fear and torment instead of love and safety. But the heartbreak doesn’t stop with me—my daughter, just 19 years old, has suffered too. She’s endured unimaginable pain, inappropriate remarks, and broken trust from someone she once saw as a father figure.
Every day feels like we’re barely surviving, trapped in a nightmare we can’t wake up from. The emotional, physical, and mental scars weigh heavily on us both. I’m doing everything I can to change our situation, working toward my degree to create a better future—but it feels like time is running out. We’re sinking deeper into despair, and I fear we won’t survive if we stay any longer.
We need help—urgently. Therapy is essential to begin healing from the damage that’s been done. But most importantly, we need to leave. We need a safe place where my daughter and I can rebuild our lives, free from fear and harm.
