Family trying to get back on our feet

| We are a family of 4 with two additional disadvantaged folks staying with us. We have created about $15,000 in debt trying to stay afloat. We are steadily employed and paid well enough to afford the basics but are unable ahead because of debt payments. Work schedules and family needs prevent second jobs for each of us. We sell things as we can, find ways to cut corners, but it isn't enough. Our credit scores have been impacted, which affects all practical aspects of living. we cannot get into a better housing environment, will not qualify for a mortgage. We are embarrassed to ask for assistance but not sure what else to do. |
