HOME-SCHOOLING MOM OF 3 NEEDS HELP PAYING OFF STUDENT LOAN

| I am a homeschooling mother of 3 who decided a few years ago that educating and caring for my children was more important to me than my career. The problem? I had already incurred over $50,000 in student loans! I consolidated my loans from Dept. of Ed. through a consolidation company and still pay over $300 per month and have not even begun to scratch the surface on that loan. My husband, who is obviously the sole income earner, is self-employed as a carpenter, and works very hard to provide for his family. Although he is a very talented and honest worker, his income depends on other people wanting to spend money on their home, which most people are not doing right now. It is getting increasingly difficult to pay this bill. We trust the Lord to provide for us, which is why I decided to do this ad. Maybe, through the generosity of others, the Lord will work another miracle in our lives. I know times are tough for everyone. But, I believe there are people out there that recognize the virtue in a mother who has forsaken her career to stay home with and educate her children the way she sees fit. My children are benefitting from having their mother as their all-day caretaker, and from a curriculum that reinforces the values and strong academics that we hold dear. "Why can't you just send them to public school?", you might ask. Well, for us, it is important that our children not only learn from a biblical perspective, but are challenged to learn and apply lessons both academically and practically. Sadly, most schools do not teach these foundational, life-important lessons any longer. The homeschooling program that we use produces some of the highest scorers on standardized tests around the world and everything is taught from a bibilical point of view, which is very important to us. So, if anyone out their feels led to be a help to us in our need, please know that your generosity will greatly benefit a family struggling to provide the chance for true, life-long success for our children. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story. |
