Retired nurse on disability Needing help to save my house

Bookmark and Share

I am a 58 year old single retired nurse due to disability having injured my back and my knees are shot from nursing. I bought my 1st home in 2018 and within a year and a half my back failed me and now I'm trying to save my house. I would also like to get a miniature schnauzer puppy to help keep me company as I had to put my baby to sleep last August due to cancer. My house is nothing fancy but it's mine. My mortgage is $1031 a month and my disability payment is only $2035 so after utilities, car payment and car insurance that leaves me nothing for groceries or any extras. I struggle just buying groceries and gas to go to Dr appts. Right after I bought my home I cashed in on a retirement from a previous job and spend it all on modifications for my house to get it just the way I wanted it for retirement. My disability monthly check basically pays my bills and that's it I have no money for nothing else like house repairs, groceries, car repairs, getting my 3 grandkids birthday presents and Christmas presents etc. I worked hard all my life taking care of people and that was my purpose but I was not expecting my body to fail me. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. I've helped people all my life and it's not fun being the one that needs help and I've always had a hard time asking for help.
