Hello,
My name is Brandie McCrory and I'm currently 30 days away from being homeless. My family received a letter from the landlord requesting we vacate the premise by July 2024. Currently, we've been living here for 8 yrs. Paying rent consistently, but the landlord hired an agent to sell the place to liquidate. We are blindsided. I've been living pay check to pay check w/ very little savings.
Here on the east coast rent is atrocious. I don't make 3 x's the salary needed nor do I have sparkling credit. My worst fear is being homeless w/ no way to recover. If I don't have a place to stay then I can't continue working full time. It'll be a domino effect ruining not only my life, but my family...as well. My father is disabled and hasn't worked in years. He's had several strokes...I fear this situation...will only make it worst. He use to be homeless...this isn't a joke. I'm freaking out, but trying to hold it together. It is hard. I'm scared.
There isn't enough money to afford a place on such short notice. Anything would be extremely helpful. A few hundred to a few thousand.
I just need to get our feet in the door. The world is unfair, but it is what it is.... Thank you and God Bless. |
