New Mom needing help getting back on my feet

Hi,
I’m embarrassed to be reaching out for help like this but I am quickly running out of options. I had my baby in February of this year and my boyfriend is trying his best to support our family. However, we can not afford the cost of daycare so I had to leave my job and pursue other means of income, to then also take care of my baby. I am currently DoorDashing as much as I can with a 6 month old but finding it hard to have that be my only income to pay bills. His paychecks are enough a month so that do not qualify for state assistance but can barely afford groceries after paying rent and electric. The biggest struggle has been keeping up with my car payments, the monthly is 716.01 and I still owe about 26k on the car all together. It’s the only car we have and I’m about to default being 3 months behind. I can’t afford to have the repossession but know I can’t afford to keep it either. We’re also close to having to move out of our current apartment and have been looking for cheaper but the spot we are quickly falling into we will not be able to stay where we are or have the funds for a down deposit or to transfer our electric service anywhere else.
I don’t want to become homeless or lose our child in anyway so we both need to keep working. Our current goal would be finding a way to get the car caught up (about 3k) for now and go from there. I would greatly appreciate any help given and am so thankful a site like this exists. Thank you! |
