Life has a way of testing us, and over the past few years, I’ve been tested beyond measure. I’ve lost almost everything - my father to cancer, my mother to COVID, my grandparents to old age, my uncle to poor health, and my home to a hurricane. Financial setbacks from unfortunate investments have left me struggling to provide for even the basics, like rent and groceries. I’ve also been distanced from my son during this time of hardship.
But I’m not giving up.
For 8 years now, I’ve committed myself to the transportation industry, working long hours for Uber and limousine companies, while pursuing personal development studies, plus reconnecting with God in church, and building a more physically fit body at the gym, growing stronger holistically. Now, I see a path to something more - a way to rebuild, regain my financial footing, and restore my family connections. I have a goal: to own a brand-new SUV to start my own Uber Black Uber SUV business and complete my 300 remaining Uber trips to reach my target of 5,171. This milestone will allow me to re-qualify for Gold status, opening up the door for a fully paid scholarship to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health and Addiction Therapy at Arizona State University.
This isn’t just about a vehicle; it’s about a chance to reclaim my life, achieve my professional and personal goals, and secure a brighter future. It’s about making smarter investments, learning from my past mistakes, and providing a stable, loving, financially secure environment for my family.
